EQ-i (Emotional Quotient Inventory) certification is a professional credential that qualifies coaches, HR professionals and consultants to administer, interpret and debrief the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 assessments. These scientifically validated tools measure emotional and social intelligence to help individuals and teams improve leadership, communication and performance.

Pre-work: Complete the EQ-i, receive feedback on your own results and view online video modules (3 hours)
Training session: 2 days (virtual, or in-person upon request)
Exam: Post-training online exam (1 hour)

Most HPS classes are virtual and conducted live online. In-class options are available.

There are no prerequisites. Anyone who wishes to completion certification is eligible.

Participants will receive feedback on their own EQ-i report; a class notebook and case studies; follow-up materials and resources; continued access to HPS trainers for ongoing support after the training. Once certified, practitioners receive access to the online portal for administration of EQ-i assessments and many additional online resources.

The EQ-i 2.0 is a self-report assessment of emotional and social skills. The EQ 360 is a 360-degree assessment of the same skills that allows a participant to receive feedback from colleagues and/or family and friends, as applicable.

While EQ-i should never be used as the only decision-making factor in a selection decision, it provides valuable insight about a candidate that can supplement additional criteria being used to make a hiring decision.

Certification on the EQ-i and the EQ 360 from the experts at High Performing Systems, Inc., is $1750. HPS graduates may reattend any future HPS EQ-i certifications as a refresher for free.
